Cultivating the Buddhist Learners
with the Ability of Knowing and Doing
In Buddhism, both the ability of knowing and the ability of
doing are stressed. You may seem to acquire true wisdom when
Buddha-nature is sometimes shown through your words; however,
it may be most difficult for you to keep a tranquil mind when
you are influenced by circumstances. Therefore, in the Institute
of Enlightened Life, not only the stages of the path to enlightenment
are taught, but related and practical classes are designed
for leaners to have profound experience. In this way, it is
hoped that learners can get to the real meaning of Exercising
Wisdom and Compassion.
● A Lifelong Learning for Broadening the Mind
Following the model of a community university and the ideals of Dharma Hsin Tao, the Institute of Enlightened Life opens classes for Buddhist studies. It puts stress on religious and humanistic issues and promotes the ideal of love and peace. It is hoped that learners can broaden their mind and learn to respect various lives and religions through the learning in the Institute of Enlightened Life.
